Ladies of the Lake Program September 18
This month, Karen Walker will present a program entitled 'Modern Piecing the Farmer's Wife Way'. She will show her personal quilt designs, and tell us a bit about her inspiration and methods that brought them about. The lecture portion is based upon her Farmer's Wife Quilt Revival Classes, inspired by Laurie Aaron Hird's book, 'The Farmer's Wife Sampler Quilt'.
In addition to her trunk show and lecture, Karen will donate 3 quilt patterns to be used for drawings, and offer her patterns for sale as well.
It will be a night full of fun and beautiful quilts!
Join us on September 18, 2017 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 2218 E Kessler Blvd., Longview. We meet in the Educational Center Bldg., located directly behind the church, on the lower floor. Social time starts at 6:30, the meeting begins at 7:00 pm.
Guild members have the opportunity to meet Karen at a no host dinner before the meeting. 5:00pm at Sizzler Restaurant on Ocean Beach Hwy.

Hello Ladies of the Lake! Thank you so much for my beautiful quilt that I won at your quilt show last weekend! I love it, the work is perfect and the colors are amazing! When I first saw it I was so impressed with the use of colors, the lavender and green combination is one of my favorites. Right now I am taking it to all of my quilt groups to show it off, eventually it will have a home on the wall in the dining room of my 1923 house, a perfect place for a quilt! Geri and Carol did a wonderful job, I will treasure this quilt! Meredith
